To me a flower does not tell a story, nor does obscure abstracts.... Animals are cute and lovely to look at but unless something unusual is happening in the image I don't see a story in an image of a bird in a tree or splashing in a pond. Same as portraits, the person in the image might have an amazing story attached to their likeness but an image of a face doesn't not offer me that story.. it's a portrait...
Everyone is free to argue the subjective nature of art interpretations and my opinions but rarely do I get asked why I deleted their image for not meeting the criteria, but I know I have upset some people in the process, so I started a discussion thread on on Fine Art America's forum and would appreciate your thoughts on the topic of What is and What is not Story Art.

The Story Art Contest I speak of has 595 pieces of art submitted and is currently in the Voting stage. Voting is open to the general public so if you are so inclined please vote and take part in choosing the top three pieces of art. Here is the link: Story Art Contest
Thanks in advance for your participation and I look forward to reading and replying to your opinions and interpretations of What is or what is not Story Art on Fine Art America's discussion Forum.
