Jackson Family Foundation not legitimate says Randy Jackson
I found the article this morning and I wanted to share my experience with this so called foundation. The full name is; The Official Jackson Family Foundation Global Partnership or for short The Official Jackson Family Foundation....
The website requires viewers to sign up if you want to access anything other then what is on the home page. So I did.....LOL. For a little background information, I became a fan of the original Michael Jackson when I was growing up, in the late '60s and early 70's. Both of us were into dance and I enjoyed his music. As the years passed I tried to keep up with his career as an artist but quite frankly it was difficult to say the least. I never knew if the reports were tabloid dribble or fact. Even to this day, I assume many others feel the same way as I did when trying to figure out his bizarre life. Strange would be an understatement. I often wondered if the Micheal Jackson phenomenon was orchestrated by the promoters to create press coverage by the using the old mythology that any press is good press.... It would explain some of the bizarre events that seemed to permeate around this talented artist.
Now back to the Jackson Family Foundation... I stumbled onto the site last week while looking for information about the new posthumous album about to be released. The name of the album is called "Xscape". It sparked my interest and I, like many others took to the net to find out more about it. From what I have been able to gleam from the massive overload of links on the internet, the tracks on this album were originally written by MJ sometime in the '80s or '90s. None of it is new, because after all he died in 2009 at the hands of his personal doctor.... but that's a whole different can of worms and there seems to be a massive amount of people who think the real Michael Jackson is still alive....how ironic is that.
Is he Alive and did he disappear from public view after he was badly burn in the Pepsi Commercial taping only to be replaced by a look a like impersonator or multiple impersonators. I don't know the truth but that scenario plastered all over the internet made me question everything I thought I understood about his life...and death in 2009.
Could the promoters of his legacy be just trying to reap as much as they can from the tragic events of his alleged bizarre death as they did with his life. Is this just another chapter to be continued.... while the money rolls into Sony or AEG or whoever else still has their hands in MJ's pockets? I raise this question only because everyone knows artists are worth more dead then alive. I don't know, this is nothing more then thinking out loud and pure speculation on my part, as I have no inside track to the truth.
Unless of course you consider the fact I too am an artist who believes art is a gift and is meant to be shared for the benefit of the masses, not necessarily for the financial benefit of profiteers.
The painting hung on my wall for just over three months before hearing the news reports of Michael Jackson's death. The day was June 25, 2009.
I was stunned and no words could describe my emotions that day. How did I know the day of his death in advance of the event. It's still a mystery to me.
Within a few hours after uploading it I received a email from the Foundation saying my image had been approved. I had left a comment on the image that said for more information please contact directly via email. The next morning another email from the Foundation was waiting for me in my inbox. It was from someone named Randa Brown, who befriended me and wanted to share important information with me. I replied to her email and basically said; Do share....... Who was Randa Brown? She had became a member on the Jackson Family Foundation website right after I did.....so she was new too.
Her reply to my reply contained a couple of picture of herself and the beginning of an age old scam about Oh my my father died and left me money could you help me get it so I can rip you off.....(paraphrasing) Ya, you know the routine.... I replied back and said.....Scam, you have been blocked......blah, blah, blah...
I was not born yesterday. After that I signed into the Foundation website and block her... All was good and I continued on with my day working on a digital art piece inspired by Roger Waters from Pink Floyd. Here is the video of the song that made a big impact on my teenage years. The reason why I was working on this piece was to add it to my "what inspires me" portfolio for my supporters. Pink Floyd music inspires many and I want to acknowledge their amazing contribution.
However, this morning I had another email from the Foundation website saying my image had been approved. I opened the site and went to sign in only to be informed with a short message saying I was suspended from the site.... They block me from using the Jackson Family Foundation Website. How rude....no explanation, kiss my butt or good bye.... Then I ran across Randy Jackson's article about Jackson Family Foundation not legitimate....
Could it be that my artwork touched a nerve with a fraudulent organization? I don't know. Love to hear your comments.
